We’re delighted to collaborate with Ilkley Literature Festival for a special screening of Alan Bennett’s delightful post-war comedy, followed by a Q&A with film historian Alexander Ballinger.

Filmed in Ilkley and starring Michael Palin and Maggie Smith, this hilarious satire follows a post-war couple caught up in the booming black market for bacon!

The screening will be followed by a 30-minute post-show talk and Q&A with film historian Alexander Ballinger on costume designer Phyllis Dalton’s work on the film.

As part of the Ilkley Literature Festival’s Stage & Screen strand.
