By purchasing a ticket and/or entering the premises of Ilkley Cinema, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully.

  • 1.1 “You” means any person who purchases a ticket and/or enters any cinema operated by Ilkley Cinema Ltd, whether or not a ticket has been purchased.

    1.2 “We”, “Us”, or “Our” means Ilkley Cinema Ltd and any cinema it operates, including any company in which Ilkley Cinema Ltd holds an ownership interest.

  • 2.1 These Terms of Admission (the “Terms”), as amended from time to time, apply to all persons entering or using Ilkley Cinema premises, facilities, or services.

  • 3.1 Admission is subject to British Board of Film Classification (BBFC) or equivalent ratings. We reserve the right to refuse entry where age requirements are not met.

    3.1.1 U and PG: Suitable for all ages.

    3.1.2 12A: Under 12s must be accompanied by an adult (18+).

    3.1.3 15: No person under 15 admitted.

    3.1.4 18: No person under 18 admitted.

    3.2 Children under 10 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian for all films starting at or after 7pm.

    3.3 Children under 8 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times.

    3.4 Child tickets apply to ages 2–12 inclusive.

    3.5 We reserve the right to request photographic ID for age verification for 12A, 15, 18 films or alcohol purchases. Failure to provide ID may result in refusal of entry or service.

    3.6 If a ticket is purchased for a screening you are not old enough to attend, a full refund will be issued.

  • BABY & ME

    4.1 Baby & Me screenings are exclusively for parents/carers with babies under 12 months. Babies attend free of charge.

    4.1.1 Adults without a baby are not permitted.

    KIDS CLUB

    4.2 Kids’ Club screenings are for children of all ages.

    4.2.1 All adults must be accompanied by at least one child.

    4.2.2 Adults must remain in the cinema and are responsible for their children at all times. Children under 8 may not be left unattended.

    4.2.3 All adults are charged the Kids’ Club rate.

    4.2.4 Maximum of 3 children per adult.

    4.2.5 Unaccompanied adults will not be admitted.

    SILVER SCREENINGS

    4.3 Senior screenings are exclusively for over-60s and include a complimentary cake and hot drink. Under-60s are not permitted.

  • 5.1 Only food and drink purchased on the premises may be consumed inside the cinema.

    5.1.1 Hot food orders should ideally be placed at least 5 minutes before the advertised start time. Orders after this are at staff discretion.

    5.2 No outside alcohol is permitted.

    5.3 Licensing laws must be followed at all times. Glassware may be restricted in auditoriums.

    5.4 Smoking and vaping are strictly prohibited inside all premises.

    5.5 It is illegal for under-18s to consume alcohol on the premises.

  • 6.1 Mobile phones must be switched off or silenced. Calls are not permitted in the auditorium.

    6.2 Late entry may be refused once a film has started; no refund will be issued.

    6.3 Recording or copying films is strictly prohibited and may result in criminal prosecution.

    6.4 Programme schedules may change without notice.

    6.5 We will endeavour to show films as advertised but reserve the right to make changes. Liability is limited to a refund of ticket price and booking fee (where applicable).

    6.6 Customers must follow all health and safety instructions and signage.

    6.7 We accept no responsibility for loss, theft, or damage to personal property unless caused by our negligence.

    6.8 Customers must comply with all licensing conditions displayed or communicated by staff.

    DAMAGE & INJURY

    6.9 We take reasonable care for safety but are not liable for loss or damage unless caused by our negligence.

    6.9.1 Injuries must be reported immediately to staff.

    6.9.2 Customers are liable for any damage they cause and may be charged for repair or replacement costs.

  • We reserve the right to refuse entry or remove any person without refund if they:

    7.1 behave abusively, threateningly, or disruptively;

    7.2 endanger staff, customers, or property;

    7.3 bring recording equipment into the cinema;

    7.4 breach these Terms.

  • 8.1 Use of our website is subject to these Terms.

    8.2 By using the website, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

    8.3 The website is provided “as is” and may be changed or withdrawn without notice.

    8.4 All content is protected by intellectual property law and may not be copied or reused without permission.

    8.5 We are not responsible for third-party websites linked from our site.

  • 9.1 Tickets are charged at the price shown at time of booking.

    9.2 A booking is confirmed only once payment is taken.

    9.3 A booking reference will be provided by email or on screen.

    9.4 A booking fee applies per ticket and is non-refundable.

    9.5 Refunds are subject to Clause 13.

    9.6 Pricing errors may result in cancellation and rebooking at correct price.

    9.7 Tickets may be collected in cinema using booking reference or payment card.

    9.8 Proof of eligibility is required for concession tickets.

    9.9 We are not liable for internet security breaches beyond reasonable safeguards.

    9.10 Distance selling cancellation rights do not apply to ticket purchases.

    9.11 Loyalty discounts must be applied at time of booking and cannot be added later.

    9.12 Transactions will appear as Ilkley Cinema Ltd on statements.

  • These Terms are governed by English law. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remainder will continue in full force.

  • 12.1 Vouchers may be purchased online or in cinema.

    12.2 Online vouchers are emailed only.

    12.3 Vouchers must be used in full in a single transaction.

    12.4 Valid for 12 months unless otherwise stated.

    12.5 Expired vouchers are not accepted.

    12.6 Old physical gift cards remain valid until their stated expiry date.

    12.7 Lost or stolen vouchers cannot be replaced.

  • 13.1 Tickets may be exchanged or refunded as credit if cancelled at least 24 hours before the performance.

    13.2 Premium events may only be refunded up to 24 hours before the event. After this, refunds are at management discretion.

    13.3 Booking fees are only refundable where an error is caused by Ilkley Cinema.

    13.4 Distance selling cancellation rights do not apply to ticket purchases.

  • 14.1 Membership costs £65 for 12 months and includes:
    • Two free cinema tickets (excluding live/events)
    • Two free drinks voucher
    • £1 off all tickets (including events)
    • 10% off food and drink
    • Member updates and offers

    14.2 Personal details may be required for registration:
    • Name
    • Date of birth
    • Address
    • Phone number
    • Email

    14.3 Memberships can be purchased online, by phone, or in cinema.

  • 15.1 Private hire and parties are not offered.

    15.2 Large group bookings are welcome; children’s groups require adequate adult supervision (minimum 1 adult per 4 children recommended).

    15.3 No private seating areas are available in public spaces.

    15.4 Large groups (6+) ordering hot food should arrive 30 minutes early. Food service cannot be guaranteed for late orders.

  • 16.1 Food may contain or be prepared in environments handling nuts.

    16.2 Nut particles may be present in public areas.

    16.3 We cannot guarantee allergen-free environments and accept no liability for severe allergic reactions.

    16.4 Gluten-free options are available on request.

  • 17.1 Tickets show allocated screen (Screen 1 or 2).

    17.2 Please check your ticket before entry.

    17.3 You may be asked to move if in the wrong screen.
